For nearly seven years, our founders operated Newt, a shared scooter service that taught them valuable lessons about the challenges of urban mobility. Throughout that time, they observed critical issues such as high labor costs for maintenance and recharging, underutilized vehicles leading to urban clutter, elevated consumer prices due to operational overhead, and scooters with limited lifespans—all compounded by the inherent difficulty of scaling such operations reliably.

Determined to forge a more sustainable and user-friendly solution, our founders launched Stark.
